A Reflection for the Feast of Corpus Christi and the Eucharistic Revival in the Church
O how great does God love us that He desired to become so little and hidden that He became a preborn child within Mary's sacred womb. How astounding it is to think of the God of this massive universe, becoming our tiny, Little Jesus!
Yet, a relationship with Jesus, the King of the Universe, can be renewed and deepened when we approach Jesus in His tiny hiddenness.
Healing can begin when we recognize that we can approach Jesus in His littleness as we think of Him nestled in the womb of Mary. There is silence and stillness in this sacred space where the only sound, as we approach Him in the mystery of His Incarnation, is the tiny beating of His little Sacred Heart.
As love is exchanged for love, our restless hearts rest in Him.
My Little Preborn Jesus is calling to us. He knows of our anxiety, our hurts and our sorrows.
He is stirring in our hearts, a desire to come back to Him, our Little Jesus, but in an ever deeper union of intimacy -in the Holy Sacrament of His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity.
This is a mystery of Divine Grace unknown even to many of the most learned and spiritual of Christians. Yet, it is His truth.
My prayer :
O Adorable, Little Jesus, draw us back to your Eucharistic Heart. We have stopped going to Church on Sundays yet, it is there that You choose to unite totally with us on Your Holy Day, in the most intimate bond of love, mercy and Divine Grace. It is at the holy sacrifice of the Mass that we hear the truth of Your words,
This IS My Body, and in total awe, we drop to our knees in adoration, praise and thanksgiving of receiving You, my Little, Hidden, Adorable Jesus.
Reintroduce Yourself to us once again as we pray for your blessing on the Church's Eucharistic Revival.
We ask this through the intercession of Mary, Ark of The New Covenant.
In the name of the Father
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen
