Preborn Jesus Ministry took its sacred artwork on many visits during Mary’s month, the month of May. On May 1, The Family of Jacopa Association https://www.familyofjacopa.com/ from the Diocese of Steubenville embarked on a photographic endeavor to film their community members and Motherhouse to present their Franciscan religious life more fully to those who may be seeking a similar commitment, to future guest retreatants and to potential benefactors. In Foundress/Superior Rev. Mother Catherine’s words, “Our fraternal friendship and Marian pro-life commitment extends to our friends for many years, the "Foundation of Jesus The Divine Mercy" and "Preborn Jesus Ministry." We are delighted to present in our photo and video footage the Icon, "The Virgin Mary of Nazareth, Ark of The New Covenant, Throne of The Divine Mercy Incarnate" and the statue of "Mary, Ark of The New Covenant." Both images have a deeply significant meaning to our community of our own Marian, pro-life and family devotions and commitments. We thank Pat Polachek and Bernadette Conklin for letting us borrow these blessed sacramentals for this purpose. Deo Gratias!” - Rev. Mother Rose Catherine of the Triumph of the Cross, F.J. - Foundress/Superior
On Tuesday, May 15, just two days after celebrating Mother’s Day, we were blessed to take the statue of Mary, Ark of The New Covenant to share with fellow pilgrims on a Mother Angelica Tour sponsored by St. Raphael Center, Inc, Canton, Ohio. The amazing journey of the early life of Mother Angelica, Canton’s own Rita Rizzo! started importantly with mass at the Saint Raphael Center, Mary Arc of the Covenant Chapel. The stained glass window in this chapel is exquisite! It is based on the cover of the book, A Scientist Researches Mary, The Ark of the Covenant, by author and friend, Dr. Courtenay Bartholomew. It was evident that the Holy Spirit is moving with wanting His Spouse known as The Ark of The New Covenant as we took pictures of the stained glass and the statue in this chapel.
Lastly, on the Feast of Pentecost, we attended the International Eucharistic Rosary March in downtown Pittsburgh and carried our images of Preborn Jesus and our pro life Divine Mercy icon. It was an awesome day of prayer and blessing asking for the Holy Spirit to cover our city!
In closing the month of May, Fr. Angelo Casimiro, posted this on his Face Book Page-“Today on the Feast of the Visitation, we were visited by Mary, Ark of the New Covenant during our International Marian Formation Workshop here at the Marian House of Studies in Steubenville, OH. In our workshop this week, we have Marian formators from the U.S., Brazil, and Argentina, as well as our Vicar General, FatherJoe Roesch, visiting us from Rome. Thank you, Bernadette Schreyer Conklin, Pat Polachek, and Kathleen Bartlett Marshall for loaning us this beautiful statue of Our Lady for veneration.” We are looking forward to many more visits to share the love of Our dear Blessed Mother!
