God chose to place Mary into salvation history, as the gateway. She is the Mother of God, designed by God to be all holy and to give flesh to The Word. As Rev 12: 21 tells us, She is spiritual Mother to all who testify to the Son of God and keep the Commandments.
Jesus taught the Apostles to read the Old Testament- as containing “types” that foreshadow and prepare His coming in the New Testament.
